Welcome to Pembroke Welsh Corgi League

What It Is And What It Does

The Welsh Corgi League was founded in 1938 and has grown from very small beginnings into a big world-wide Club.

 The Objects are briefly:

bullet To create and maintain worldwide interest in and to encourage the breeding, exhibiting and training of Welsh Corgis (Pembroke), in accordance with the standards adopted by the Kennel Club.
bullet To assist Members to co-operate in the best interests of the Breed.
bullet To form Sections and Subsections in suitable areas for the furthering of the interests of the Breed and the League.

The Welsh Corgi League is the biggest Corgi Club in the World and in order that it should have all the advantages of a big Club, without losing the more intimate atmosphere of a smaller one, it has been divided into Sections and Sub-sections.

Overseas Member belong to the League as a whole, but people joining in Britain become Members of the Section or Sub-section in which they reside.

The Scottish Section as its name suggests covers the whole of Scotland.

The Northern Section covers Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Gwynedd, Denbighshire, Wrexham, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, and all counties to the north.

The Southern Section covers Ceredigion, Powys, Hereford and Worcester, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and all counties to the south, including the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.

The East Anglian Sub-Section works under the Southern Section and is responsible for Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Essex.
